And that reason is I have no self control and will come home with a 5lb+ container of something I should not be buying 5lb+ of.
On a related note, anyone want some stuffed grape leaves ?

Oh course it does, it’s America.
I’m just surprised it’s not in a squirty can. Lol.

If you get 'em from a deli or at a catered event they most likely came out of a can like this

Obviously homemade is best but I think f or the most part if you buy them or are fed them at a restaurant/event they probably came out of a can or jar.

Aside from homemade I've only ever seen them in a can or jar.

I think these are far less common on the west coast of the USA . Our Greek restaurants typically don’t even offer these unless it’s a sit down kinda place that would not serve canned food. I have rarely even seen them on a menu outside the Greek festival and my Greek side’s family events.

Odd. I'm not even in a particularly greek area and they're readily available to the point where I got them in school lunches.

Oh, god. Yeah. I’m with you on the lack of restraint. I’d probably eat the whole can in one sitting.

Yeah I would assume the majority of Americans have no idea what these are.

I’ve never thought about it, but I guess that makes sense actually. Still delicious regardless.

If I get them at the grocery store it's a third the price for a tenth as many
